| abstract |
The present invention discloses a method of fabricating a housing with a cavity for holding a personal electronic device. The outer casing comprises a film outer layer and a soft inner layer. The method employs a transparent mold that allows the reactive compound to cure therein. The outer layer of the film can be preformed and placed in a mold, or the outer layer of the film can be formed in a mold. The reactive compound is placed in the inner layer of the film and then embedded in the top of the mold to form a cavity. Ultraviolet light can be transmitted through the mold and can be used to cure reactive compounds. |
