The invention relates to a method for producing an oxynitride phosphor powder, which comprises sintering a precursor at a pressure of 0.1-1000 MPa under nitrogen pressure to synthesize an oxynitride phosphor powder having the general formula MxAyBzOuNv (0.00001 ≦ y ≦ 3; 0.00001 ≦ z ≦ 6; 0.00001 ≦ u ≦ 12; 0.00001 ≦ v ≦ 12; 0.00001 ≦ x ≦ 5), where M is the activation center of one or more mixtures, and A is one or more mixtures A divalent element, B is one or more mixed trivalent or tetravalent elements, O is a mixed or multiple mixed one- or two-valent element, and N is one or more mixed one- or two-valent or trivalent elements.
