titleOfInvention Additive and method for removing impurities generated by sulfur compounds in crude calcium naphthenate
abstract The present invention provides an additive capable of avoiding formation of impurities due to a reaction between calcium naphthate and a sulfur compound including H2S in a crude oil mixture containing calcium naphthalate and a sulfur compound or H2S, and capable of An impurity formed by a reaction between calcium naphthate and a sulfur compound including H2S in the presence of water and accumulated between phases of the organic layer and the aqueous layer, wherein the additive is glyoxylic acid, is removed or dissolved. The present invention also provides a method for avoiding formation of a reaction between calcium naphthate and a sulfur compound including H2S in the presence of water in a crude oil mixture containing calcium naphthalate and a sulfur compound including H2S. Impurities and impurities which are formed by the reaction between calcium naphthate and sulfur compounds including H2S in the presence of water and which accumulate between the organic layer and the water layer, the method comprising treating with glyoxylic acid A mixture of calcium naphthalate and a sulfur compound or a crude oil of H2S.
