Hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS3-NS4A protease inhibitor |
abstract |
The present invention relates to the activity of inhibiting the activity of non-genotype 1 hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS3-NS4A protease. More specifically, the invention relates to the inhibition of the activity of a protease derived from HCV genotype-2 or HCV genotype-3. The method of the present invention uses an inhibitor which acts by interfering with the life cycle of HCV, and can also be used as an antiviral preparation. The invention further relates to compositions comprising such compounds for use in vitro or in patients suffering from genotype-2 or genotype-3 HCV infection. The invention also relates to a method of treating HCV infection in a patient by administering a composition comprising a compound of the invention. |
