abstract Aluminum paste used in silicon solar cells includes powder and organic carrier. The weight percentage of powder in the aluminum paste is 75% to 85%, the remaining is organic carrier. The powder includes aluminum powder and oxide phase. The oxide phase includes 10 to 40wt% of bismuth oxide, 5 to 15wt% of boron oxide, 0 to 40wt% of silica 2, 5 to 40wt% of zinc oxide, 0 to 5wt% of alumina, 0 to 2wt% of zirconium oxide, 0 to 1wt% of strontium oxide and 0 to 15wt% of antimony oxide. The aluminum paste can effectively reduce warp between the silicon chip and the aluminum back surface field after sintering. The aluminum back surface field is smooth. A method for making the aluminum paste is also provided.
