abstract A detecting unit outputs a to-be-corrected signal that is in accordance with an inertial force. The to-be-corrected signal is corrected to generate a corrected signal. First and second environment values are acquired at first and second time points, respectively. The difference value between the first and second environment values is calculated. If the absolute value of the difference value is greater than a predetermined determination threshold value, then an environment change detection signal is outputted. The difference value between an averaged signal of the corrected signal at the first time point and an averaged signal of the corrected signal at the second time point is calculated as an offset difference value. If the environment change detection signal is outputted, the offset difference value is held. The held offset difference value is added to a to-be-corrected signal, thereby generating a corrected signal. In this way, even if any abrupt change of environment occurs, the output offset can easily be reduced.
