abstract | The present invention provides a production method and application for litchi polyphenol, which employs the ethanol as solvent to dissolve the polyphenol substance from litchi kernel, and obtains the litchi polyphenol powder after ethanol removing and drying process. The litchi polyphenol produced by the method according to the present invention contains a large amount of condensed tannin, such that the litchi kernel may be employed in development of health care products in addition to the conventional Chinese medicine application. Furthermore, the litchi polyphenol produced by the present invention may have the effect for inhibiting cell growth on specific cancer cell lines. The litchi polyphenol production method according to the present invention further presents the features of simple processing and easy operation. |
