abstract |
This invention provides a positive electrode active material for non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, a positive electrode using the active material and non-aqueous electrolytic solution secondary battery using the positive electrode, wherein the positive electrode active material is able to enhance first discharge capacity while inhibit the decrease of discharge potential and energy density even the cycle of discharge and charge is repeated. The positive electrode active material of the invention comprises lithium, nickel and manganese, and a hydroxyl oxide or hydroxide of at least one element selected from rare earth elements with atomic number from 59 to 71 is fixed on parts of surface of lithium transition metal complex oxide with layered structure. |
