A coated article and method for making the same are provided. The coated article includes a substrate and thermochromic layer coated on the substrate. The thermochromic layer is doped by M material and R material. The M material is made of one or at least two metals selected from titanium, niobium, molybdenum, and wolfram. The R material is made of one or more metals selected from rhodium, palladium, and ruthenium. When the coated article is under 17 to 27 degrees, the color of the coated article changes. The coated article is doped by M and R, critical temperature for color change of the coated article is decreased. |
