titleOfInvention | Surface-treated heavy calcium carbonate, its manufacturing method and resin composition mixed with the same |
abstract | The present invention provides a surface-treated heavy calcium carbonate, which is advantageous in the cost because it can be produced by a dry process and useful in a film with precise control of the pore size, or engineering plastics such as easily hydrolysable polyester resin, nylon with a higher glass transition point and having to be compounded under high temperature, polycarbonate, etc. due to its excellent dispersibility and low water content. The surface-treated heavy calcium carbonate of the present invention is characterized by satisfying the formulas of 13,000 ≤ A ≤ 25,000, 0.8 ≤ B ≤ 2.0, C ≥ 0.55, and 0 ≤ D1 ≤ 1000, wherein A: the specific surface area (cm<SP>2</SP>/g) obtained by utilizing the gas permeation method, B: the average particle size (μm), which is the 50% particle size (d50) measured by the Microtrac FRA, C: the 10% particle size (μm) of the particulate distribution measured by means of the Microtrac FRA, D1: the water content (ppm) measured in between the room temperature and 300 DEG C by means of the Karl Fischer method (the heating gasification method). |
