A composition for forming a p-type diffusion layer contains a boron compound which is selected from a boron nitride and a boron carbide and a dispersion medium. A p-type diffusion layer and a photovoltaic cell element having a p-type diffusion layer are prepared by applying the composition for forming a p-type diffusion layer on a semiconductor substrate, followed by a thermal diffusion treatment. |
