titleOfInvention Electrostatic particle coagulating device and method thereof
abstract The present invention provides an electrostatic particle coagulating device and method. The electrostatic particle coagulating device includes: a corona recharging unit for providing an AC or DC electric field to enable a plurality of particles carry electricity; a particle coagulating unit for providing an AC electric field whereby the particles collide with each other and thereby coagulate to form a plurality of large particles; and a power unit for supplying power to the corona recharging unit and the particle coagulating unit. The electrostatic particle coagulating method includes: generating ions of a high concentration by corona charging; mixing particles and the ions to effectuate collision thereof and thereby enable the particles to carry electricity; introducing the charged particles into an AC electric field; intensifying collision between the particles by the electric field, speed of the particles, or difference of amplitude so as for small particles to collide with each other, coagulate, and form large particles, thereby enhancing the efficiency of particle collection and further enhancing the efficiency of submicron particle collection.
