abstract | There are disclosed methods for diagnosing or providing a prognosis for colorectal cancer cells in a biological sample, the method comprising the steps of detecting the presence in the biological sample of an RNA sequence at least about 98% similar over the full sequence length to a sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOS: 1 through 7, wherein the presence of the RNA sequence is indicative of the presence of colorectal cancer cells in the sample. Probes for detecting and providing a prognosis for colorectal cancer are also disclosed. |
