abstract | An Agrobacterium transformant for producing an edible transgenic plant cell is provided. The Agrobacterium transformant includes a recombination plasmid containg a recombination DNA segment. The recombination DNA segment can be translated to a recombinated tomato ammonium transporter containing a hypotriglyceridemic peptide. Therefore, an edible transgenic plant cell includes the foregoing recombination DNA segment for producing a recombinated tomato ammonium transporter containing a hypotriglyceridemic peptide. Transformed with the recombinant plasmid via the Agrobacterium transformant, the transgenic edible plant will express and accumulate the recombinant tomato ammonium transporter in cells, therefore possess hypoglyceridemic activity. |
