abstract The present invention relates to a kind of light-emitting diode (LED). The LED includes a substrate, a first semiconductor layer, a first electrode, a second semiconductor layer, a second electrode and an active channel layer. The first semiconductor layer, the active channel layer and the second semiconductor layer are in turn stacked on one side of the substrate, and the first semiconductor is arranged near the substrate. The first electrode is conductively connected with the first semiconductor layer. The second electrode is conductively connected with the conductive layer. The second semiconductor further includes a plurality of 3-D nano-structures. The 3-D nano-structures are arranged in the form of an array on the surface of the second semiconductor far away from the substrate. The 3-D nano-structures are the step-like structures.
