abstract |
A semiconductor structure comprising a light emitting layer disposed between an n-type region and a p-type region is grown on a first substrate. The semiconductor structure is attached to a top surface of a second substrate. The second substrate includes a body with a plurality of holes filled with a conductive material. After attaching the semiconductor structure to the second substrate, the body is thinned from the bottom surface of the second substrate, such that a bottom surface of the holes is exposed. |
