abstract Providing a paperboard box (box body) that does not cause refrigerant stored therein to be dropped off. A paperboard box (box body) is configured such that it includes refrigerant storing plates 53 having engaging pieces 36 at their upper ends and disposed in series with upper edges of side walls 3, and the engaging pieces 36 are pulled out through cuts 37 formed in creases 20 at the upper edges of the side walls 36 and are risen up when the refrigerant storing plates 53 are folded to form a storing space for refrigerant within the box. In the paperboard box, drop-preventing projections 50, 50 extending outwardly in the widthwise direction beyond the size in the widthwise direction of the cut 37 are formed on both sides in the widthwise direction of the lower end side of each engaging piece 36, and hook recesses 51, 51 are formed on the lower side of the drop-preventing projections 50, 50 and are recessed inwardly in the widthwise direction for hooking to widthwise end edges of the cut 37.
