abstract | Disclosed is a polyether preparation method performed by means of the ring-opening addition polymerization of an alkylene oxide, or the like, in an initiator under the presence of a composite metal cyanide complex catalyst (a DMC catalyst), that is capable of being performed using a low concentration of the DMC catalyst and that is capable of reducing the amount of the residual DMC catalyst present in the polyethers obtained thereby. The method for preparing polyethers by means of the ring-opening addition polymerization of the alkylene oxide and an oxygen-containing heterocyclic compound other than the alkylene oxide in the initiator provided with a hydroxyl group, under the presence of the DMC catalyst, is characterized in that the DMC catalyst and the initiator provided with the hydroxyl group are mixed for 10 minutes to 24 hours under temperature conditions of 125 DEG C to 180 DEG C at 0.06 MPa or less of absolute pressure, before the ring-opening addition polymerization. |
