abstract The present invention provides a polyethylene fiber being able to achieve high exhaustion degree of dye, dye as deep coloring and excellent fastness. Additionally, the present invention also provides a woven/knitted fabric and glove which have excellent cut resistance and thermal retentivity, using the polyethylene fiber. The polyethylene fiber is characterized in that the limiting viscosity[ η ]is more than 0.8 dL/g and less than 5 dL/g, the repeating unit of polyethylene fiber is formed by substantial ethylene, there are micropores from surface through interior of the fiber, the shape of micropores approximates to cylinder, the average diameter of micropores measured by using mercury intrusion method at a contact angle of 140 DEG is 3nm to 1 μ m, the porosity caused by micropores is 1.5 to 20%, and the thermal conductivity of fiber axial direction at temperature of 300 K is 6W/mK to 50W/mK.
