Disclosed are: a method for reproducing a phenolic compound from a phenolic antioxidant agent that has been masked with an organoaluminum compound and is contained in an olefin polymer produced while supplying the phenolic antioxidant agent during polymerization, effectively on an industrial scale and in a simple manner; and an olefin polymer produced by the method. Specifically disclosed is a phenolic antioxidant agent recycling method which can reproduce a phenolic compound from a phenolic antioxidant agent that has been masked with an organoaluminum compound and is contained in an olefin polymer produced while supplying the phenolic antioxidant agent during polymerization. The method comprises bringing the olefin polymer with a nitrogen gas which comprises nitrogen and water and/or a proton-donating substance at a ratio of 1 : 1.010-6 to 2.510-2 by volume. |
