abstract A method involving a vehicle in which a navigation device (200) is located and determining driving conditions is disclosed. The method includes determining, using at least a processor (210) of the navigation device (200), driving conditions of a segment of road on which the vehicle is traveling, based at least in part on a speed of at least one wheel of the vehicle at a first location. The method may also include outputting the determined road conditions at the first location to a server (302) remote to the navigation device (200).
