abstract | A hemostatic dressing containing chitosans and calcium is disclosed. The chitosans have amino groups, so the chitosans are cross-linked by a cross-linking agent, which includes a reactive terminal for reacting with the amino group of the chitosan and an acidic functional group, to form the hemostatic dressing. The dissociation constant of the cross-linker is smaller than that of the amino group of the chitosan. The calcium is connected to the acidic functional group. |
