titleOfInvention Structure of bicycle headset joint bowl.
abstract This invention mainly provides a structure of bicycle headset joint bowl for installation between the head tube and the front fork tube of a bicycle, which includes: a ring seat set, a cover body, and a tightening ring. The ring seat set has an inner ring and an outer ring. The outer ring abuts against the head tube at the outer diameter edge for positioning, and the inner ring is outwardly extended a block rim from the center. The inner diameter edge forms upwardly a step-like groove from lower side of the cover body. The tightening ring is located between the ring seat set and the cover body, and is outwardly extended from the central edge face with a step-like flange to be received in the step-like groove. The lower side of the tightening ring is received within the inner diameter annularly arranged by the block rim. With these components and the step-like flange design, it effectively increases the height of inner diameter of the tightening ring, enlarges the contact area with the front fork tube, strengthens the tightening with the front fork tube and rotational force transmission, so that the steering of front fork tube is more stable and smooth. In the meantime, the poor accuracy generated by swinging of the tightening ring may be reduced, and, in cooperation with the block rim, the tightening piece, when in assembly, can be directly positioned and has effects of correction and fast positioning.
