titleOfInvention | Herbicidal composition and weeding method |
abstract | The present invention relates to an herbicidal composition containing an oil extract as an active ingredient. The oil extract is obtained by cooling the steam containing volatile substance obtained during a wood drying step performed on a tree in the Order Pinales, or by performing an extraction with hot water or steam distillation on wood chips, saw dusts or powder flour of the tree. The herbicidal composition of the present invention has a broad herbicidal spectrum encompassing monocotyledons, dicotyledons, annual plants and perennial plants, and possesses activities for treating stems, leaves and soil (mixed soil). The herbicidal composition of the present invention can surely kill the subject weeds rapidly for a long period of time. As such, the labor and cost required for spreading the herbicide can be significantly reduced. The steam produced during a wood drying step performed on a tree in the Order Pinales or the wood chips, saw dusts or wood flour generated during the processing of the wood, which are to be discarded, can now be recycled for further use. Further, the herbicidal composition of the present invention is a natural agent, which can lessen more environmental burden than chemical agents. |
