Provided is a liquid crystal polyimide that can exhibit liquid crystallinity at a comparatively low temperature. Also provided is a liquid crystal resin composite containing the aforementioned liquid crystal polyimide, and further provided is a resin film for semiconductor elements, said film containing the aforementioned liquid crystal resin composite. The liquid crystal polyimide is characterized by exhibiting liquid crystallinity and by containing, at least in part, a repeating unit represented by formula (I). (In formula (I), A1 and A2 each independently represent a tetravalent residue of a tetracarboxylic acid unit; B1 represents a residue of a bis(amino) polysiloxane unit represented by formula (II); and C1 represents a residue of an organic diamine. In formula (II), R1 through R6 each independently represent a lower alkyl group, x is an integer between 0 and 10, D1 represents an alkylene group, y is either 0 or 1, and Z1 is one of the following groups: -H, -CH3, -CF3, -F, -CN, or -NO2.) |
