titleOfInvention Mold-cooling apparatus in foam-molding machine and foam-molding method using same
abstract This invention provides a mold-cooling apparatus in foam-molding machine capable of performing a mold-exchanging efficiently without an adjustment in the arrangement of cooling pipes by eliminating the assembling and disassembling operation of a backing plate in order to perform the adjustment of the arrangement of cooling pipes in a mold mounting frame when exchanging the mold. The mold-cooling apparatus of this invention is so constituted that a plurality of pipe accommodating grooves 7, which are in parallel with each other, are provided within the backing plate 4 of a mold mounting frame 1A, and branch cooling tubes 8b having a plurality of cooling water ejecting holes 9 directed to the back side of the mole are accommodated in the pipe accommodating grooves 7, wherein the branch cooling tubes 8b have end portions connected and communicated with each other by a main cooling pipe 8a through which cooling water is supplied to be ejected through the cooling water ejecting holes 9 towards the mold 9. When the mold is exchanged, supporting pillars 6 of a new mold are arranged to support the inner surface of the backing plate 4 without the backing plate 4 having to be disassembled.
