abstract | The method for producing phenylethylbenzoic acid according to this invention comprises the following steps of performing soda boiling reaction on the mixed liquid of BAPD (Benzaphthalide), sodium hydroxide and water; adjusting the pH value of the mixed liquid to form a PEBA solution; adding a catalyst into the PEBA solution and proceeding a hydrogenation reaction so as to form a PEBA- sodium solution; separating the catalyst and the PEBA-sodium solution; adding hydrochloric acid into the PEBA-sodium solution and proceeding a salting-out step to form a PEBA solid crystal; filtering it to obtain the PEBA solid crystal. Accordingly, the process of the method for producing PEBA according to this invention is easier, lower costs and the purity of the produced PEBA that is higher than 95%. Moreover, the yield of PEBA according to this invention is increased about 30% by comparing with the conventional yield of PEBA. |
