abstract | A method for fabricating antibacterial nano-silver and polyvinyl alcohol films by using a concurrent reduction and addition method, which comprises the following steps: producing nano-silver in a protective medium via precursor salt and reduction agent and forming a nano-silver film, so as to make the nano-silver distribute in the protective medium evenly. Silver nitrate is used as the precursor salt and sodium borohydride is used as the reduction agent. The silver nitrate is firstly dissolved in polyvinyl alcohol solution or pseudo-thermoplastic polyvinyl alcohol solution of the protective medium, and then the sodium borohydride is added, so as to reduce the solutions to nano-silver particles. The polyvinyl alcohol which has a good water-solubility is used as the protective medium after the nano-silver particles are formed, so as to avoid causing the agglomeration phenomenon of the nano-silver particles and to make the nano-silver particles distribute evenly, thus achieving the better antibacterial effect. |
