abstract A curing agent composition and its preparation method are provided. The composition comprises a phenalkamine having formula (I): and an epoxy group modified phenalkamine having formula (II): wherein nl, n2, n3 and n4 independently represent 0 or 1, and the value of nl+n2+n3 is at least 1; n5 is an integer ranging from 0 to 2, n6 is an integer ranging from 1 to 3, and the value of n6-n5 is more than 0; a is 0, 2, 4 or 6; R1 represents -CbH2b-, -CcH2cNdHd-, or C5-C7 alicyclic, wherein b is an integer ranging from 1 to 10, c is an integer ranging from 2 to 12, d is an integer ranging from 1 to 5, and n7 is an integer ranging from 0 to 3; and R2 is an organic group. The composition can be used as a curing agent for an epoxy resin.
