titleOfInvention Group of phosphor particles, light-emitting device using same, and liquid crystal television receiver
abstract Disclosed is a particle group of divalent europium-activated oxynitride green light-emitting phosphor particles (1), which are particles of ss-SiAlON represented by the following general formula: EuaSibAlcOdNe (wherein a, b, c, d and e are numbers satisfying the following relations: 0.005 = a = 0.4, b + c = 12, and d + e = 16). The group of phosphor particles is characterized in that the average of the values obtained by dividing the lengths by the breadths is not more than 1.75. Also disclosed are a light-emitting device (11) which uses the group of phosphor particles in a wavelength conversion unit (13), and a liquid crystal television receiver which uses the light-emitting device (11). The light-emitting device using the ss-SiAlON is stable and has high efficiency. The group of phosphor particles is used for the purpose of obtaining the light-emitting device.
