abstract |
Disclosed are: a bone cement composition which is capable of forming a cured body that has bioactivity and practically required high physical strength; and a bone cement composition kit for obtaining a bone cement composition. Also disclosed are: a bone cement formed body that has bioactivity and practically required high physical strength; and a method for producing the bone cement formed body. The bone cement composition is characterized by containing titanium dioxide particles that have a median diameter, as determined by a laser diffraction/scattering particle size distribution measuring instrument, of 0.5-7.0 Am and a BET specific surface area, as determined by a nitrogen adsorption method, of 0.5-7.0 m2/g, and a base-forming component that is composed of a (meth)acrylate polymer and a (meth)acrylate monomer. The bone cement composition is also characterized in that the content ratio of the titanium dioxide particles relative to the entire composition is 5-50% by mass. |
