abstract |
This invention aims to use an ablation catheter to realize the efficient cautery of the heart wall. This invention provides a guide wire for an ablation catheter with a balloon, i.e., a guide wire with a bending section wherein there is a bending area having 570 to 3740 N.mm<SP>2</SP> bending rigidity in at least 20 mm length in the longitudinal direction of the guide wire; the connecting wire at the starting point of the bending area intersects with the connecting wire at the ending point of the bending area; the bending angle of the guide wire formed toward the bending direction from the connecting wire at the starting point of the bending area is 45 to 180 DEG; when the guide wire is inserted into a lumen which extends from the distal end to the proximal end and the bending area is immediately beneath the balloon, the balloon bending angle in the longitudinal direction of the balloon becomes 30 to 90. |
