Disclosed is a method for producing a molded porous ceramic article, which involves a step of burning a molded product of a raw material mixture comprising an aluminum source powder and a titanium source powder, wherein the aluminum source powder meets the requirement represented by formula (1a). (Da90/Da10)1/2 < 2 (1a) [In the formula, Da90 represents a particle diameter corresponding to 90% in the volume-based cumulative particle size distribution and Da10 represents a particle diameter corresponding to 10% in the volume-based cumulative particle size distribution, both of which can be determined based on the particle size distribution of the aliminum source powder as measured by a laser diffraction method.] |
