abstract |
The subject of this invention is to provide a polarity diffraction element with high light utility efficiency and high industrial productivity and having high in-plane uniformity of optical property. The polarity diffraction element of this invention has a pattern part continuously forming concave and convex parts on a substrate made of transparent resin and a filled part filling the concave part. One of the convex part and the filled part is made of optically isotropic material, and the other is made of optically anisotropic material; in addition, the following criterion are met: (i) 0.008≤ |Nu(λ 1)-No(λ 1)| ≤ 0.012,(ii)0.004≤ |Nu(λ 2)-No(λ 2)|≤ 0.009 (λ 1: light with linear polarity of 660nm wavelength, λ 2: light with linear polarity of 785nm wavelength, Nu: refractivity of optically isotropic material, No: ordinary refractivity of optically anisotropic material). |
