titleOfInvention Process for producing mayenite-containing oxide, and process for producing electrically conductive mayenite-containing oxide
abstract Disclosed is a process for producing a mayenite-containing oxide that contains a mayenite-type compound and has a hydride ion density of 1 x 10 18/cm3 or more, without requiring any expensive facility, control of complicated reaction conditions and a long reaction time. Also disclosed is a process for producing an electrically conductive mayenite-containing oxide. Specifically disclosed is a process for producing a mayenite-containing oxide, which comprises the following steps: a raw material mixing step of producing a mixture comprising CaO and A1203 at a molar ratio of 9: 10 to 14:5 in terms of oxide contents; and a hydrogenating step of calcining the mixture in a hydrogen-containing gas having a partial pressure of oxygen of 1000 Pa or less at a temperature of not lower than 1210 DEG C and lower than 1350 DEG C to thereby produce a mayenite-containing oxide that contains a mayenite-type compound and has a hydride ion density of 1 x 10 l8/cm3 or more. Also specifically disclosed is a process for producing an electrically conductive mayenite-containing oxide that contains an electrically conductive mayenite compound, which comprises irradiating the mayenite-containing oxide with an ultraviolet ray or the like.
