| abstract | An electric moxibustion device having high operability and safety and capable of efficiently and reliably causing a loquat-leaf extract to penetrate into and under the skin of an affected part. The invented electric moxibustion device 1 includes: a cylindrical enclosure 2 with an opening on the front end thereof; a heater unit 4 installed in the enclosure 2 near the front end opening; and a cover 5 made of heat resistant rubber and installed to be removable from the front end opening of enclosure 2. The heater unit 4 is consisted of a thermally conductive metal plate 7 and a heating body 6 fastened on the back face of thermally conductive metal plate 7 and heated by electricity supplied from an external electrical source 3 or battery. The cover 5 is formed with a heat release opening 14 on the center portion of the front end face thereof for releasing heat generated from the heating body 6. A member 10 for absorption/maintenance of installed medicine (such as loquat-leaf extract, etc.) is installed between the release opening 14 of cover 5 inside the enclosure and the thermally conductive metal plate 7. |
