titleOfInvention | Thin film solar cell |
abstract | This invention is a thin film solar cell. The thin film solar cell comprises a baseboard, a translucent conducting layer which forms on top of the baseboard, and a first semiconductor thin film layer which forms on top of the translucent conducting layer. The thin film solar cell also comprises a reflective thin film layer which is formed on top of the first semiconductor thin film layer and having multiple micro channels. The reflective thin film layer has high reflective index and can reflect light to the first semiconductor thin film layer to help improve the light absorption rate of the first semiconductor thin film layer. The thin film solar cell also comprises a reflectivity enhancing layer which is formed on top of the reflective thin film layer. The reflectivity enhancing layer comprises at least one stack layer which has a low refractive index layer and a high refractive index layer. The stack layer allows the incident light to enter from the high refractive index layer which has a higher refractive index into a low refractive index layer which has a lower refractive index, resulting in total reflection effect of light. The effect causes the incident light to reenter the first semiconductor thin film layer or a second semiconductor thin film layer; hence, enhancing the light re-absorption of the two semiconductor thin film layers. The thin film solar cell also comprises a second semiconductor thin film layer which is formed on top of the reflectivity enhancing layer, and an electrode layer which is formed on top of the second semiconductor thin film layer. |
