abstract Provided is a method for producing refined O-(2.6-dichloro-4-methylphenyl)-O, O-dimethylphosphorothioate, comprising a first step of contacting crude 0-(2.6-dichloro-4-methylphenyl)-O, O-dimethylphosphorothioate with an acid in the presence of solvent, and a second step of recovering refined O-(2.6-dichloro-4-methylphenyl)-O, O-dimethylphosphorothioate from the mixture obtained from the above first step.
