titleOfInvention Process for preparing heterocycles
abstract The invention relates to a process for preparing heterocycles by catalytically reacting an aromatic dinitrile with an amino alcohol, wherein the amino alcohol and the catalyst are initially charged and the aromatic dinitrile is metered in at room temperature, an additional solvent being dispensed with during the reaction, and then, after the end of the reaction, the excess amino alcohol is removed completely or virtually completely and is replaced by a nonpolar solvent, and a crude product is thus obtained with an amino alcohol content of not more than 20% by weight, based on the amount of heterocycles.
