abstract | A test system for testing a signal path comprises a test signal generator and a signal processing means. The test signal generator comprises a modulator and a phase-locked loop, wherein the phase-locked loop of the test signal generator is configured to provide a test signal and couple it into the signal path under test. The modulator of the test signal generator is configured to enable a phase modulation of the test signal. The signal processing means is configured to receive and process the test signal, wherein the signal path under test extends from the phase-locked loop of the test signal generator to the signal processing means. A method for testing a signal path comprises the steps of generating a test signal by a test signal generator, coupling the test signal into the signal path, receiving the test signal by the signal processing means and assessing the test signal received. |
