titleOfInvention | Method for dynamic bandwidth allocation in Ethernet passive optical network |
abstract | A method for dynamic bandwidth allocation in Ethernet Passive Optical Networks (EPON) is proposed. It comprises a predictor, and a PRNN/ERLS-based predictive QoS-promoted dynamic bandwidth allocation (PQ-DBA) scheme. The predictor is mainly applied on a pipeline scheduling predictor constituted by a recursive neural network and an extended recursive least squares learning algorithm. It used to predict the end-user behavior and the number of packets required for various services. The present invention provides an original optical terminal unit according to bandwidth allocation to an optical master-control terminator, and client packets transmitted from high priority to low priority, to develop better service quality. |
