abstract The present invention relates to an insect repellent composition consisting of American Nepeta, cinnamaldehyde, Eucalyptus, lavender, Citronelle, mint, Cedar, Syzygium Aromaticum, lemongrass, and added with propylene glycol and glycol. It can further be used by mixing with ethanol and water. Wherein, ethanol, water, propylene glycol and glycol can be replaced by soybean oil. Specially, the components of American Nepeta and cinnamaldehyde in this insect repellant can effectively repel mosquito, Forcipomyia taiwana, flea and dust mite.
