abstract The present invention provides a method for determining location of gamma interaction for enhancing the precision of location determination and improving the practicability of the Edge-on ends-read imaging detector. The method builds a corresponding expected energy relation and a location relation of the energy occurrence and then obtains two sensing values with respect to an incident of gamma interaction which emits photons and then be captured by the Edge-on ends-read image detector. Further, two energy windows corresponding to each sensing value is determined from the corresponding expected energy relation. If the two sensing values are fallen into the corresponding energy windows respectively, then a location of the incident is determined according to the relation with respect to the location of energy occurrence. The present invention further provides a flat panel imaging head apparatus having at least one flat panel edge-on ends-read camera module arranged by a plurality of the edge-on ends-read imaging detectors for detecting the energy of the gamma photons.
