titleOfInvention | Protein extraction buffer and method for extracting protein from microorganisms using the same |
abstract | The protein extraction (dissolved) buffer described in the invention is a high performance buffer, which is applied to perform total protein extraction from a variety of microorganisms (e.g. bacteria, yeast and fungi). The extracted protein is functional and shows high activity. The protein extraction buffer of the present invention is consisted of sodium phosphate buffer, glycerol and sarcosine. The buffer can be used to extract protein without using complex and expensive equipment. The extraction process is faster and inexpensive by comparing with a conventional method. The extracted proteins can be applied to non-variation analysis, such as enzyme activity analysis and biochemical characteristics or variation analysis, such as SDS-PAGE analysis. |
