titleOfInvention Glycerine preparation method using a by-product (medical grade) of a bio-dissel fuel process
abstract A combined/series vacuum distillation method, covering thin film evaporation & molecular still evaporation to distill industrial and/or medical grade glycerol from by-product of bio-diesel plant. This method are inclusive of a reaction process by means of using 85% purified phosphoric acid to form potassium phosphoric acid crystal, and then to feed this mixture into a disc bowl separator to separate potassium phosphoric acid crystal and mixture of coarse glycerin and methanol. Potassium phosphoric acid crystal could be sold as raw material for producing potassium phosphoric acid fertilizer while the mixture of coarse glycerin and methanol will be feed into a 4-stage high vacuum distillation process, inclusive of the 1st stage thin film evaporation process for recovering methanol, and the 2nd stage thin film evaporation process for water repelling, and the 1st stage molecular still evaporation process to extract 95% pure industrial grade glycerol, and the 2nd stage molecular still evaporation process to extract 99.5% pure USP/BP approved medical grade glycerol from the residual of the thin film evaporation processes.
