titleOfInvention | Application of LLA23 gene that confers improved heat and freezing resistance in plants |
abstract | The invention is an application of a gene fragment (LLA23) that allows plants to gain improved resistance to heat and freezing stresses. The invention also provides composition for plants to obtain an improved resistance to heat and freezing stresses. The composition has a carrier and a recombinant vector having a gene fragment and a control sequence operably linked to the gene fragment. The gene fragment has the following nucleotide sequences: (l) sequence of SEQ ID NO.1; (2) sequence with more than 90% similarity to the sequence of SEQ ID NO.1; (3) sequence encoding an amino acid sequence as SEQ ID NO.2; or (4) sequence essentially identical to the nucleotide sequence encoding an amino acid sequence as SEQ ID NO.2. The invention also provides a method for preparing transgenic plant parts or transgenic plants by using previous vector in order to gain the improved resistance to heat and freezing stresses. |
