abstract | The present invention provides a batch process for producing polyamide by direct polycondensing a p-xylylene diamine contained diamine component and a dicarboxylic acid component under the absent of substantial solvent, which process can suppress block adhesions adhere to stirrer and improve the producing efficiency as well as nearly no un-melting substances caused by the adhesions are mixed in a manufactured article. The process for producing polyamide is a producing process of direct polycondensing a diamine component comprising 70 mol% or more of xylylene diamine and a dicarboxylic acid component under the absent of substantial solvent in an batch reactor, wherein the xylyene diamine comprising 20 mol% or more of p-xylylene diamine. Wherein the reactor is equipped with a stirrer for stirring the melt polymer in the reactor, which stirrer is characterized in: comprising (1) a rotating shaft connecting to a stirring driving portion, (2) 2 or more stirrer rods in substantially vertical direction, which are made of pillar-like body or plate-like body and moving on a circle, which taking the rotating shaft as central, (3) a connection member connecting the rotating shaft and the stirrer rods; the distances between the central line of the rotating shaft and the central lines of each stirrer rods are 15% or more of the inner diameter of the reactor; the connection member and the rotating shaft are disposed higher than the melt polymer liquid; and the stirrer is stirred in a way such that the peripheral speed of the stirrer rods is 30 m/minute or more. |
