The present invention relates to a resin particle having a plurality of cavities on the surface thereof, and more particularly, to a resin particle having a plurality of cavities on the surface thereof being solvent-resistant and heat-resistant. The resin particle is obtained by using a seed particle, which is characterized in that the ingredient of the seed particle has a cross-linking structure. The resin particle has excel lent light scattering properties, solvent resistance and heat resistance. Thus, the resin particle is applicable to a light diffusion film or a light diffusion sheet obtained by adding cosmetical materials mainly composed of silicon oil, etc., to an organic solvent such as 2-butanone in a preparing step to disperse the resin particle which is used as a light scattering agent, and a light diffusion plate obtained by blending a resin matrix, such as polystyrene, polymethyl methacrylate etc., molten at a high temperature around 300 DEG C with the resin particle which is used as a light scattering agent under a high shearing force. |
