abstract | A light source driving apparatus includes an inverter for providing a feedback signal; an power on/off switch circuit including a first input terminal for receiving an on/off signal, a second input terminal for receiving a power supply signal and a first output terminal; a control chip electrically connected between the inverter and the first output terminal of the power on/off switch circuit; a switching element including a first I/O port which is electrically connected to the first output terminal of the power on/off switch circuit, a second I/O port for grounding and a first control terminal; a defect detecting circuit electrically connected to the first input terminal of the power on/off switch circuit, the inverter and the first control terminal of the switching element for receiving the feedback signal and the on/off signal. According to the feedback signal and the on/off signal, the defect detecting circuit determines whether current is conducted between the first and the second I/O ports of the switching element. |
