abstract | This invention provides a process for producing a polarizer comprising the following steps: a process for adhering a protective film to one side of a polarizing film of a polyvinyl alcohol resin via an aqueous adhesive layer; a process for drying the adhered article of the protective film and the polarizing film. The said drying process comprises a low temperature drying process and a high temperature drying process, the low temperature drying process being performed in a dry oven at a temperature below 50 DEG C, and the total holding time of the adhered article in the oven being 150 seconds or longer, and the high temperature drying process being performed in a dry oven at a temperature of 50 DEG C or higher, and the total holding time of the adhered article in the oven being 150 seconds or less. |
